Lawrence Teh
Lawrence Teh is the Global Co-Head of Dentons' International Arbitration practice and a senior partner in the Maritime practice and has wide experience handling maritime and commercial disputes, including those related to carriage of goods by sea, international trade and commodities, charterparties, ship and offshore construction, conversion and repairs, mortgage enforcement, ownership, ship agency and investment disputes in maritime businesses. Lawrence oversees all of the Firm's maritime work and maritime clientele and is often the contact partner for outgoing and incoming investments, ship purchase and finance, and corporate and tax work.
Lawrence advises clients and acts as counsel in all areas of commercial law and appears regularly as lead counsel in the Singapore courts, in arbitration, mediation and other forms of dispute resolution. He is also considered and appointed regularly as an arbitrator in international disputes under the rules and auspices of international arbitration institutions and in ad hoc arbitrations.
He is the Administrator of the Comité Maritime International (CMI) and a supporting member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA). He previously held the position of chairman of the Promotion Committee of the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA) from 2014 to 2022.
